Taking in more energy (calories) than you use up leads to fat gain – it’s that simple! These extra calories could come from any macro group – fats, carbs or protein. It is not correct to simplify this by saying “fat makes you fat”.

“Carbs make me fat!”, “No carbs before Marbs”, “Carbs are the enemy of weight loss” Does this sound depressingly familiar??? I have great news for you… Carbs are not the enemy! Carbohydrates are a primary source of energy and your body’s go-to fuel.

Stress eating (or emotional eating) is a thing! Many people turn to food to fill emotional needs, ease anxiety or relieve stress. Stress eating is a coping mechanism to soothe uncomfortable feelings. How can you stop using food as a coping mechanism for stress?
