1. You over-restrict
If you over-restrict, you are, at some point, likely to overindulge.
Dropping your calories to a super-low level (1200 cal aspirers, I’m talking to you!) means you’ll feel hungry – it’s that simple. It’s not willpower, it’s not a broken metabolism…you’re just hungry as you’re not eating enough.
You’re then more likely to overeat, negate any deficit you created and probably eat too many calories. You then feel guilty and restrict yourself.
Repeat.
Hello, yo-yo dieting! Goodbye, weight loss!
Work with me to drop fat and still feel full and enjoy your fave foods!
2.You eat back exercise calories
Calories burned via exercise can be MASSIVELY miscalculated by devices / calculators (and definitely by my fitness pal!). If you are eating back the calories you THINK you’re burning via exercise, you are likely to NOT be in a calorie deficit.
Exercise benefits are too many to list and everyone should keep active for optimal health but eating back exercise calories won’t help you lose weight!
Work with me to create an eating plan which sees you losing weight – and enjoy the benefits of exercise without overthinking it!
3.You’re impatient
Long-term fat gain is normally not an overnight occurrence – and neither is long-term fat loss…give it a minute!
If you’re putting life on hold whilst you do the task of “losing weight”, you’re more likely to be more impatient, not see super-fast results and give up.
Fat loss can take up to 4-8 weeks to show but if it’s achieved whilst still living a full life and it’s happening “in the background” you’re more likely to see better and more long term results.
Work with me to learn how to eat for fat loss and enjoy your food too!
